Condolence From: Andrea

Condolence: I wanted to leave a message to Lee’s wife and children. I was lucky enough to spend most of my elementary and High School years with Lee and although we were not close he had a tremendous impact on my life and his story is one I often tell.

School life was challenging for me at the best of times. I was regularly bullied and taunted by a number of classmates. Although Lee was often around I never recall him taking part in any of it. That is why it surprised me in grade 12 when he
called me over to his locker and very sincerely apologized for everything that had happened to me over the years. He wanted to be sure I was ok and that he, for one, was very sorry.

This has always stayed with me as a pivotal moment in my life. It took a lot of courage and maturity to go against the “grain” of teenage group mentality. I was so grateful for the kindness and sincerity.

I have shared this story with my children as an example that you don’t always have to think and be like your peers, and that there are always good people.

I wanted to share it with you so that Lee’s children could have another example of the kindness of their Dad.

My sincerest condolences to you all.

Condolence: On behalf of the North Vancouver Football Club President Stuart Ince and the Board of Directors, Members and Players, I wish to offer our condolences to Tammy and the Hester Family and to our own NVFC's Andrea Benton and her family at the loss of their loved one. We thank and remember Lee for all of his efforts with youth soccer on the North Shore. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: Lee, we will always remember the years of dedicated coaching and volunteering that you put in at the West Vancouver Soccer Club, as well as how you enjoyed a good party. Every year at Halloween I would look forward to seeing what Lee and Tammy had decided to dress as - the 'Where's Waldo' costumes were epic and still bring a smile to my face. Our hearts go out to the whole family. Caulfeild is there for you.

Condolence: The Hester clan in UK are broken hearted at the loss of our beloved Lee. As his beautiful wife said .... Lee was a big deal. Yes he was, and will continue to be given the many lives he touched with his generous, knowledgable and unique nature.
Our thoughts are with his much loved wife, sons and Canadian family. We have no doubt his legacy will continue with his truly wonderful boys.
Sorry Lee, rather a lot of weeping and wailing this side of The Pond right now BUT promise to bring our A Game for your Party.
